Sea-Carriers Inc., established in 2015 by experienced maritime professionals, focuses on bringing steel and cargo together.

The company is privately owned and operated by its team, with strong support from its founding investors.

With a combined industry experience of over 100 years, we specialize in providing freight solutions and advice for dry bulk shipments, particularly for larger Handy size to Kamsarmax vessels.

Incorporated under Marshall Islands law, we bank with Berenberg Bank, Hamburg and Eurobank Cyprus Ltd.

Our charterers’ liability and P&I coverage are insured by the Dutch P&I Club, with additional coverage procured from the London market as needed.

Global Freight Solutions

Our diverse client base, including commodity traders, industrial groups, charterers, and shipowners, enables us to serve as a bridge for physical freight trading, aligning their needs and fostering effective transportation partnerships.

We advise our clients on transportation solutions for their commodity sales and assist in the commercial management of their tonnage supply.

With a global network of associates, we ensure our services are available whenever and wherever needed. Our deep market knowledge, supported by 35 years of meticulously maintained and updated historical data, allows us to offer timely, efficient advice and competitive transportation services. Providing freight cover is both a science and an art, we are well positioned for both. The science incorporates the use of historical and current data to properly analyse and calculate freight and the art is to match the cargo needs and tonnage needs to create an efficient and smooth execution of the transport needs. We are well positioned not only to execute single transactions but also to provide long term satisfaction of commodity flows and to this end we have executed contracts of affreightment and efficient triangulation trades.

The Cargoes

With our focus on the larger Handy to Kamsarmax trades our cargo base is diverse incorporating both the major commodity flows of grains, coal and ores which comprise about two thirds of the global dry bulk trade but also the remaining one third of minor bulks such as fertilizers, steel products, cement, logs and lumber, alumina, sugar etc. Given the diversity of our clientele, we can competitively perform the needs of both the geared and gearless trades. Cargo flows being diverse within geographical regions and cross hemispheres require rigorous and demanding standards of transport, we meet them not only as a requirement but also as a corporate culture.

We focus on maintaining a balanced portfolio between the amount of cargo we handle and the quality of our customer base.

This approach helps us manage risk effectively and provide better service. While we prioritize meeting our customers’ needs, we do not compromise service quality for the sake of higher volumes.
